F & K Designs is owned and operated as a family run business by Kristina and Fred Strauss. It was started in January of 2001 and has been steadily growing in size and customer base ever since.

     With a small single head embroidery machine and digitizing software, the couple rapidly built up a loyal following of repeat customers. In 2003, the company moved to their new facility and a second embroidery machine and additional digitizing software and embroidery patterns were added, but this time it was a 15 color commercial unit which is now the primary one used on almost all of the embroidery projects.

     Additionally, in 2003, four commercial heat presses were added to allow the company to expand into the dye sublimation and iron-on heat transfer market. With over 23,000 stock iron-on transfers and the ability to create dozens of custom dye sublimation products, sales grew rapidly and helped to fund further expansion. The company also launched an Ebay Store and rapidly became the largest seller of blank mesh hats and doll house siding on that site.

     The year 2004 led to even more growth and product line expansion. In the beginning of the year, machines were added to allow the production of 2 1/4" campaign style buttons with inserts designed and printed to the customers specifications. Additionally, the added pad printing capabilities to their operations and now offers thousands of pad printed items to help promote your business or organization.

     Growth continued in 2005 with the addition of computerized vinyl cutting equipment and the addition of full wood working capabilities to enable the manufacturing of wood signs and custom mailbox posts for sub-additions and developments. Additionally, the company added several new employees and full airbrushing capabilities to their operation.

     2006 growth continues with the launch of the ecommerce website and planned expansion into CNC based wood routing, plus the addition of hundreds of custom products in our existing product lines.
